Impact Park 2018

Impact Park is the first full impact event in Italy.
The event, realized in collaboration with the family office and venture accelerator Rancilio Cube, represents a moment of comparison of the entrepreneurs’ experiences, a concrete opportunity of investment and motivational testimonials meant to trigger a positive vicious circle between investment return and social impact.
We would like to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, experiences and inspiring stories of the global impact investing world. We will have panels, reverse pitches and keynotes intended to expose you to the journeys of impact investors and impact entrepreneurs from all over Europe.

Speakers



Patrick Elmer

Patrick works at the intersection of finance and global development, focusing on innovative solutions that connect households at the Base of the Pyramid with private sector and financial markets. He founded iGravity in March 2017 to support disruptive ideas, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and institutions in their impact investment [ad]ventures. Previously he worked with BlueOrchard, Credit Suisse and spent several years in Mozambique, Tanzania and Madagascar working with the Swiss government and microfinance banks.

John Denniston

John is the Chairman of the Board of Shared-X, an agriculture impact company, which aims to both generate investor returns and lift vast numbers of smallholder farmers out of poverty. Previously, John was a Senior Partner at the Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, where he co-founded and co-ran the firm's $1 billion Green Growth Fund.

Charly Kleissner

Charly Kleissner is an impact investor who argues that Modern Portfolio Theory has to be re- conceptualized to integrate impact. He sees impact investing not as an intellectual exercise, but as an expression of who he really is. Dr. Kleissner co-founded KL Felicitas Foundation and Social- Impact International, which help social entrepreneurs worldwide to accelerate and increase their impact. Dr. Kleissner also co-founded Toniic, and the ‘100% Impact Network’, global networks for impact investors.

Stephanie Rakels

Stephanie Rakels is Development and Investor Relations Director at Aqua-Spark, a global investment fund. Aqua-Spark makes investments in sustainable aquaculture businesses that generate investment returns, while creating positive social and environmental impact. Prior to A-Spark, she worked with several healthcare projects, focusing on nutrition as well as rehabilitation services in businesses and local communities. Her experience working with local communities is
what ignited her passion for helping SMEs launch and grow.

Andrea Gerosa

Andrea is the founder of a think-tank on millennials (ThinkYoung), a consulting company focused on student housing (Kefren), and a series of schools for young entrepreneurs (Entrepreneurship school). Recently he has been appointed to the Advisory Board of INTA, the International Trademark Association and to the Executive Board of Rentxpress SA, an online agency that enables travellers to rent luxury plug&play accommodation all around the world to advise them on youth related issues.

Koen Van Seijen

Koen has extensive expertise in impact investing, with a strong focus on renewable energy and regenerative agriculture/food companies. Before joining Toniic, Koen worked at Aqua-Spark, an impact investing fund based out of Utrecht, focused on sustainable aquaculture companies. At Toniic he currently is senior manager responsible for the relationship management of 50 Toniic members in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Julia Balandina

Julia is a recognised impact investment expert and a trusted adviser to major HNW families, foundations, international banks, and the Swiss and UK Governments. She teaches at St. Gallen University and is the author of two books on impact investing. Julia has more than 20 years of investment and consulting experience, acquired at McKinsey, ABB, and AIG. Prior to starting her impact investment consultancey in 2010, Julia managed European private equity business of AIG.

Rahel Gerber

Rahel Gerber is the initiator and Head of WWF Impact Ventures. WWF Impact Ventures is an acceleration, capacity building and access to investment program for conservation businesses in priority ecoregions. Previously Rahel was heading the Major Donors and Corporate Relations teams at WWF Switzerland. Prior to this she was Head of Corporate Sponsoring at Swiss Reinsurance Company. Rahel holds a Master’s Degree in Law as well as in Arts Management.

Kurt Schöffer

Kurt Schöffer is the Group CEO of auticon. He was one of auticon’s first investors and has been appointed CEO in 2013 to grow and expand the social enterprise. As an international entrepreneur Kurt possesses broad experience in global leadership in the areas of IT, energy and media. He is convinced that neurodiverse teams make a huge difference and is intrigued by the idea of social projects in corporate environments.

Stefano Rovelli

Stefano Rovelli is the Co-founder of SINGA Italia. After an MA in International Economics, Stefano started a career in international development. He also had numerous experiences working with tech-startups and young entrepreneurs in Italy through the Fulbright BEST program of the US Embassy in Rome. He is fascinated by the synergies between the private and public sector and believes every enterprise should become a social enterprise.

Michael Breidenbrücker

Michael is a serial entrepreneur, board member, investor and advisor to tech startups all over Europe. After studying and co-founding companies such as RjDj and Last.fm in London, he joined Vienna based VC Firm Speedinvest as partner and founded an incubator in the Austrian alps where he builds companies in cooperation with corporate partners. When he is not working you will find him spending time with his family and skiing in the mountains of his hometown.

Gianpiero Tessitore

Gianpiero Tessitore, 38 years old architect based in Milan, is the founder of Vegea srl, an innovative start-up developing innovative bioproducts. By implementing and engineering new technologies, VEGEA® is able to extract and valorize all biomass components, enabling their recovery rather then disposal. In particular, the company developed and patented Vegeatextile technology, for the production of biobased technical textiles from wine industry biomass: grape marc, thus creating a new circular economy model.

Sauli Bohm

Google alumnus and seasoned entrepreneur equipped with two master’s degrees and experience in turning businesses around. As CEO of ResQ, he looks after ResQ’s strategy, global brand development and the anatomy of marketplace building, i.e. how location- and time-sensitive B2C marketplaces should and shouldn’t be built in order to make zero-food- waste communities a reality.
